Design Technics: A Designer Guide

Design Technics was a New York-based ceramic design studio founded by Lee Rosen in the 1950s, renowned for its hand-thrown, richly glazed table lamps and decorative pottery.

Rosen and his studio artisans experimented constantly with glaze technique and form, producing pieces that ranged from restrained and elegant to boldly textured and sculptural. Design Technics lighting remains a favorite among collectors for the way it bridges fine studio pottery with functional mid-century design.
