This is an all-wool modernist Bauhaus style area rug inspired by artist Wassily Kandinsky. Crafted in Denmark circa 1988 as part of the 20th Century Collection by Ege Axminster Art Line. An attractive decorative art work as either an area rug or a wall hanging. Size is 104”x144”. Jute/Polypropylene backing. Primary colors of red, blue and yellow with restrained use of black and muted blue-green comprise the palate for crisply executed abstract geometric shapes.
