Paul Evans

Paul Evans (1931–1987) trained as a sculptor and silversmith before turning to furniture, and it shows — his work treats case pieces and tables as canvases for texture and rugged, organic form. Best known for his Sculpted Metal and Cityscape series for Directional, Evans worked in welded, patinated steel and bronze, resin, and brass in patchwork compositions unlike anything else being made at the time.
