A handsome Arts and Crafts octagonal side table by Brooks, crafted in quarter-sawn oak with the rich, deep patina characteristic of early 20th-century Mission furniture. The octagonal top sits atop four substantial paneled legs, each fitted with vertical slat detailing along the sides — a hallmark of the Stickley-era Mission aesthetic. The legs are joined by a sturdy X-form stretcher base with a shelf, adding both visual weight and a secondary display surface. Straightforward through-tenon and pegged joinery is visible at the base, consistent with quality period Arts and Crafts construction. A versatile occasional table well suited as a lamp table, side table, or plant stand in a Craftsman, Mission, or rustic-modern interior.
