A sculptural mid-century lounge chair in the style of Heywood-Wakefield, the Massachusetts firm known for its sculpted maple and oak seating from the 1950s–60s. The chair features wide, flared paddle arms and a tall, gently curved backrest — a silhouette closely associated with Heywood-Wakefield's postwar lounge chair designs, where the arms sweep continuously into the front legs in a single hand-shaped curve. The frame is solid wood in a warm honey tone, with tapered dowel legs and visible joinery typical of the maker's construction. The chair retains olive green upholstery on the seat and back cushions, a rich contrast to the wood that suits both mid-century and eclectic interiors.
Refinished. Reupholstered. Wear consistent with age and use. This chair has been totally refinished and reupholstered.
