A refined Danish modern low chest designed by Kai Kristiansen, model 394 from his “Entre” series, produced by Aksel Kjersgaard in Odder, Denmark, in the 1960s.
The case is finished in richly figured rosewood veneer case with striking grain across all four drawer fronts and solid rosewood legs. Kristiansen’s signature circular pulls are carved into the seam between each pair of drawers, so a single round recess opens either the top or the bottom drawer. The case sits on a separate rosewood stand with squared, slightly tapered legs, giving the piece a light, floating profile.
Its low, compact scale makes it ideal as an entryway console, a media stand, a bedside chest, or extra storage in a smaller living space.
Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. very good condition, you will be very pleased with this piece.
